Can You Add Multiple Links to an Instagram Bio?
Learn the standard link limit, how to arrange and feature a link, and what changes for eligible Meta One subscribers.
Yes. Instagram lets you add up to five links to your bio without a subscription. In the app, open your profile, tap Edit profile, choose Links, then Add link. Enter a URL and title, then save. Eligible accounts with a Meta One subscription can add more links, subject to that feature's eligibility rules.
The links are managed in a dedicated Links area, not by typing a list into the bio text. That gives visitors several destinations from one profile while letting you choose which link to feature first.

How many links can you add to an Instagram bio?
Without a subscription, Instagram allows up to five links in your bio. Meta's current help page says eligible Instagram accounts with a Meta One subscription can add up to 20 links. Meta also says teens cannot use the subscription link page feature.
| Option | Link limit | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Instagram Links, without a subscription | Up to 5 | Add a URL and a title for each link |
| Meta One link page | Up to 20 | Requires an eligible account and subscription; teens cannot use this feature |
| Links inside posts or Reels | Separate feature | Meta says eligible public accounts need Meta One; this is not the same as bio links |
These limits describe Instagram's own link controls. If you only need several destinations, start with the standard Links area and see whether five entries are enough. You do not need to buy or build a separate link page just to use more than one bio link.
Keep the distinction clear: bio links, a link page, and clickable links inside posts or Reels are separate Instagram features.
How do you add multiple links to an Instagram bio?
Add each destination from your profile's Links settings. Meta's current steps in the Instagram app are:
- Tap your profile picture to open your profile.
- Tap Edit profile.
- Tap Links.
- Tap Add link.
- Enter the destination URL and a title people can recognize.
- Tap Done, then repeat for each additional destination.
Meta's official guide to Instagram bio links covers adding, editing, arranging, and previewing links. If the labels look different in your app, check the current help page rather than assuming the feature has been removed.
After saving, return to your public profile and open the links area. Check that each title leads to the intended page. Test the destination itself as well, especially if you recently changed a website address or campaign page.
How do you choose which link appears first?
You can mark one link as the primary link when you have at least two links. Meta says to open Edit profile, tap Links, edit the chosen link, switch on Show as primary link, and tap Done.
Choose the destination that best matches what visitors should do now. For a local business, that could be an appointment page, menu, store, or contact page, depending on the business. Keep the other links available for people who want a different next step.
For the Meta One link page, Meta says links appear in the order you add them. Preview the page before sharing it so you can check the titles, images, order, and destinations from a visitor's point of view.
Which links should a business include?
Use the available slots for distinct destinations people may need. Five links are a limit, not a target. A shorter list can be easier to scan if a business has only one clear action for visitors.
- Choose useful destinations: for example, a booking page, menu, product range, or contact page.
- Use clear titles: describe what opens instead of using a vague label.
- Check the landing page: confirm that it loads and matches the title.
- Review time-sensitive links: remove an expired offer or event page when it is no longer relevant.
- Pick a primary link: feature the one action that matters most at the moment.
Think about the visitor's question before adding another URL. If two links serve the same purpose, keep the clearer destination or combine the information on a page you control. Avoid adding a link just to fill a slot.

What changes if you have Meta One?
Meta One offers an expanded link page for eligible Instagram accounts. Meta says subscribers can add up to 20 links, add an image and title to each link, and share the link page using its own URL. The subscription feature is not available to teens.
This link page opens inside Instagram when someone taps the bio link, according to Meta's help article. You can preview it before sharing and copy its own URL to use elsewhere. A subscription is only relevant if the standard five links do not meet your need and the account is eligible.
Do not confuse this with adding a link directly to a post or Reel. Meta documents that as a separate feature for eligible public accounts with a Meta One subscription. Its instructions say a link must be added before the post or Reel is shared, and cannot be edited afterward.
See Meta's separate guide to links in Instagram posts and Reels for that feature's eligibility and limits.
How do you edit or remove a link?
Open Edit profile, tap Links, and select Edit beside the link. From there, Meta says you can update the URL, title, or image, or choose Remove link. Tap Done to save your change.
Removing a link from Instagram does not remove or change the website it pointed to. It only removes that destination from your Instagram link page. If you replace a URL, test the new destination before making it the primary link.
You can also preview the link page in the Links settings. This is useful after changing titles, order, images, or the primary destination because it lets you check what visitors will see before you share the profile link elsewhere.
